Plague, Inc.'s next update features Planet of the Apes virus

Plague Inc.'s next expansion pack features a cross promotion with the upcoming movie Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

The "Simian Flu" virus expansion will threaten mankind in two ways, by making apes more intelligent while acting in unknown and untested ways on homo sapiens. The player will be able to control communities of intelligent apes that can threaten research labs and interrupt or thwart scientists trying to stop the spread of the disease.

The update is coming to Plague, Inc., on iOS and Android, and also to Plague Inc.: Evolved on Macintosh and Windows PC. It will be included in the forthcoming version of Plague Inc.: Evolved for Xbox One.

A specific release date has not been given but the game's creator, James Vaughan, says it is coming "very soon."
