A film version of stealth action game Thief is reportedly in the works from production companies Vertigo and Prime Universe, according to Tracking Board.
The movie is currently being produced by Adrian Askarieh and Roy Lee, best known as the producers behind the Deus Ex film project. Askarieh is also responsible from the 2007 film version of Hitman. Likewise, production company Vertigo is best known for the licensed film adaptation The Lego Movie.
The original Thief game, developed by Looking Glass Studios and Eidos Interactive, first reared its head in 1999 before eventually leading to a reboot which launched earlier this year.
Information about the upcoming film is still scant. Polygon has reached out to the studios behind the film and will update when more details are made available.
