Game pre-loading will arrive on the Xbox One with FIFA 15 and Forza Horizon 2 this September, Xbox head Phil Spencer announced today during Microsoft's Gamescom 2014 press conference.
FIFA 15 is scheduled for a Sept. 26 release, while Forza Horizon 2 will arrive Sept. 30.
Microsoft has been working on the feature, which will allow those who pre-order games to download them to their consoles before release, for some time. In April, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb reiterated that Microsoft was still working on the feature. Using the pre-loading technology, Xbox One owners will be able to play the games immediately upon their release.
Pre-loading arrived on the PlayStation 4 in an April update.
