Below from Capybara Games features a tiny protagonist, exploring a vast and complex underground world.
Today's Gamescom trailer shows the game's extremes of scale, in which large spaces are used to great effect and, ultimately, a looming presence adds to the world's general sense of foreboding. Capy, best known for Super Time Force, has created a game featuring a randomly generated world and a highly atmospheric score.
At PAX East 2014, in April, Capybara Games showed the first publicly playable version of Below, showing its quietly finessed combat, on display in this trailer again.
The game is planned for Windows PC and Xbox One. There is no release date as yet.
