Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is bringing cardboard box stealth back into the mix and will feature a few new tricks for players to use, as demonstrated on stage today during Sony's Gamescom 2014 press conference.
In the trailer above, the presenter explains that the box — an iconic symbol of stealth for the series — has been upgraded with new abilities. Players can pop out, take down enemies with a quick shot and retreat into hiding, as well as use items from within.
The box's most notable addition is its decoy abilities. By displaying a picture of a soldier on the box's outside, players can trick enemies into thinking they're an ally. Decoy options also include a half-naked woman, which will send enemy soldiers sprinting toward Snake to oogle the picture with no regard for their safety.
