Development on The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, a remake of the original 2011 flash game The Binding of Isaac, is still in the thick of things, with designer Edmund McMillen sharing a new video of the title in its final state on his official website.
As well as announcing the addition of round worm enemies, McMillen stated that the shared video is "basically what you will be getting on release." He noted that developers still need to implement some sound effects and make a few visual tweaks. Other than that, McMillen hinted that the game's launch is not that far around the corner.
"The closer we get to release the less I want to spoil," he wrote.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is in development with Nicalis, with design supervision from McMillen. The game is set to launch later this year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Linux, Mac and Windows PC through Steam. Rebirth will include the full original game and all add-on content from the Wrath of the Lamb expansion. The remake will also feature new content, including a new final chapter, three playable characters and more items and enemies. Rebirth will also be three times the size of the original game.
