NBA 2K15 developer Visual Concepts is bringing its full new-generation basketball game to Windows PC this year, publisher 2K Sports announced today.
"The complete NBA 2K15 experience found on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles," said 2K Sports, "will also appear — fully realized — on the PC platform. Gamers will be able to experience the full breadth of new modes and features found on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with even more graphical fidelity."
That was not the case last year. NBA 2K14 was released in October on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and the game that came out in November as a launch title for PS4 and Xbox One was completely different — it had vastly improved graphics and new modes. The PC version of NBA 2K14 offered the last-generation experience. EA Sports is bringing its soccer franchise up to par this year as well: FIFA 15 on PC will resemble its PS4 and Xbox One counterparts.
2K Sports released a screenshot from the PC version featuring Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, the 2013-14 NBA Most Valuable Player and the cover athlete for NBA 2K15. You can check it out above and see a full-size version.
NBA 2K15 is set for release Oct. 7 on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
