I love Super Nintendo-era platformers. I love tower defense games. But do these two genres really fit together?
According to Bryce Kho and Brian Ott of indie developer Guts Department, they absolutely do.
I invited Bryce and Brian to show me their new game, Aegis Defenders, which combines 16-bit aesthetics and exploration with tough-as-nails, defend-the-safe-point gameplay. You can also swap between multiple characters to figure out what suits your preferred play style.
Check out the full video above to see what's in store. If you like what you see, you can get more information on the Aegis Defenders Kickstarter page.
