BioShock is now available on select iOS devices for $14.99, publisher 2K Games announced today.
The shooter from Irrational Games debuted in 2007 on Windows PC and Xbox 360, and was released on PlayStation 3 in 2008 and on Mac in 2009. The iOS port was developed by 2K China, which also handled last year's well-received mobile version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It offers touch controls, and includes full support for Bluetooth gamepads as well as Apple's Made for iPhone (MFi) program.
BioShock on iOS is a universal app, and will work on iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad 4, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5, but not earlier devices. New to the game on iOS is a profile that tracks statistics and allows players to compare themselves to others on a leaderboard. The title also comes with an art book, a digital version of the one that came with the original game.
