The Last of Us adds new stuff to wear on your head in multiplayer matches

New gear and gestures for The Last of Us multiplayer will be available today on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli announced via the PlayStation Blog.

The Grit and Gear Bundle, available for $6.99, adds seven items, including cowboy hats and helmets. Players can also grab a pack of new gestures for $2.49. Next week, Naughty Dog will release sports-themed headgear with the Professional Sports Bundle; it includes seven items and is priced at $7.99.

The extra content is confirmation of Naughty Dog's earlier considerations to add additional DLC. At the time, the studio told Polygon any content would be available for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

"We have more add-on content coming two weeks from now," Monacelli added on the PlayStation Blog. "From that drop we revealed one map and showed off some of the new weapons on our Twitch channel in July. We'll detail another new map, the weapons and some new bundles over the next couple of weeks."
