Gotta buy 'em all: Pokémon Center delivers Poké-plushies to your doorstep (update)

The Pokémon Center, the web-based store for Pokémon fans in the U.S., launched in full today with a wide variety of Pokémon merchandise.

Today's opening follows the Pokémon Center's soft launch on July 2.

The website appears to be suffering from high traffic at the moment; we're seeing plenty of "the site is closed temporarily" notices. But if you can get in, you can purchase items such as Pikachu plushies ($12.99), Chespin T-shirts ($24.95) and Charizard mugs ($14.95). The Pokémon games themselves, both video and card, are also available. And the store is marking its launch with a Grand Opening Collection featuring note cards, binders, notebooks, pins and more branded with Special Delivery Pikachu and other Pokémon.

Check out the Pokémon Center for the full array of Pokémon goods.

Update: In honor of the Pokémon Center launch, a special Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon is available free in North America for owners of Pokémon X/Pokémon Y. The level 12 Vivillon knows the following moves: Stun Spore, Gust, Light Screen and Struggle Bug. You can check out an image of the pokémon below; it is available in the games as a "mystery gift" from now through Aug. 12.

In addition, the Pokémon Center is currently shipping orders only to the U.S. and APO/FPO addresses, so we've clarified the location to "the U.S." instead of "North America."
