Assassin's Creed Rogue, Far Cry 4 playable in Ubisoft's Gamescom lineup

Gamescom attendees will have the chance to play the first public demos of Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Rogue and more at this year's show, Ubisoft announced today.

Assassin's Creed Rogue was confirmed by Ubisoft yesterday, following a leak, as the next entry in the series for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game is set during the mid-18th century and follows a templar named Shay Patrick Cormac as he hunts down assassins.

In addition to playable demos, Ubisoft will showcase titles such as Tom Clancy's The Division, Assassin's Creed Unity and Just Dance Now at their booth in Hall 6. Several new, unannounced titles for PC, mobile and digital channels will also be present. Community activities are planned during the event, including giveaways and photo opportunities, and cosplay is encouraged.

Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 13 - 17, where Polygon will be reporting on-site. For more on Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 and The Division, check out our in-depth previews from E3 2014.
