Here is the new name for Frozen Synapse: Tactics on PS Vita

Frozen Synapse: Tactics, an in-development PlayStation Vita version of the turned-based strategy game, will now be known as Frozen Synapse Prime, developer Double Eleven announced.

The game has been in development for nearly two years, according to a blog post on the official EU PlayStation website. While the team originally chose to use the term "Tactics" to drop a hint of the turn-based nature of the game, "Looking at it today and applying some hindsight, after almost two years of development and original thinking we put into FS Prime, plus the three years Mode7 put into the original award-winning game we hope that after almost five years of work this is the best edition!"

The game is currently in the final stages of testing and localization in French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese. The studio is describing the game's campaign as having the "depth and size of a novel."

Frozen Synapse Prime will launch in the next coming months, Double Eleven confirms. The game will be playable at this year's Gamescom, which Polygon will be attending.
