This Mario toy is one big boy

Standing at knee-height to an adult (20-inches) this Mario toy from Jakks is priced at $29.99 and aimed at kids ages three-and up.

It's the latest in a line of plushes and figures from Jakks, under licence from Nintendo. Due to arrive in toy stores this fall, it'll be joined by smaller versions and by wall climber Mario figures. A spokesperson for Jakks said sales of Nintendo toys has been strong this year, especially following the launch of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U.

"Seeing the oversized Hammer-Wielding Hero at this scale is a sight to behold,' said Jakks' Dominic Laurienzo. "He comes complete with 11 points of articulation not only for play but dynamic collector posing as well. We work very closely with the team at Nintendo to get these figures just right and are really excited for fans of all ages to get their hands on them."
