Explore reality 'through the eyes of a god' in Pneuma: Breath of Life

Pneuma: Breath of Life, a first-person puzzler in which players "explore beyond what they know as reality through the eyes of a god," will launch for Xbox One in 2015, developer Deco Digital recently announced.

The game centers around a story of self-discovery and the nature of being. According to the developer, Pneuma will force players to think outside the box and aims to provide them "with an unrivaled sense of awe and a relentless determination to solve every puzzle." Players take control of the eponymous Pneuma and will listen to his inner monologue as they explore.

"Discover the genesis of the universe through the eyes of a god as he wrestles with the nature of reality," the game's description reads.

"Rack your brain and progress through a series of environmental challenges that require perception, observation and lateral thinking skills to succeed. Lift bridges, rotate platforms and unlock gigantic doors all with the power of your mind. This game isn't about your skill with a controller, it's about how you perceive and analyze situations."

The game is being released for Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program, Microsoft's indie development program. For more on the game, check out the announcement trailer above.

Pneuma will be playable at the Xbox One booth at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, taking place Aug. 13-17. Polygon will be on-site reporting.
