Microsoft set to replace noisy Xbox One consoles

Microsoft says it will replace any recently bought Xbox One units that are emitting loud noises.

According to a report on CNET, there have been a large number of complaints to Microsoft in recent weeks, with some users saying their Xbox One consoles are too noisy. A spokesperson for Microsoft said that the company would replace any faulty units

"We have heard that a small number of Xbox One owners in some situations may hear a noise from the console that is too loud," said a Microsoft spokesperson. "While this does not affect the safety or functionality of the system, we're asking customers who believe they are experiencing this issue to contact Xbox Support. At the request of our customers, we are exchanging those consoles for new systems."

The complaints seem to have arisen in recent weeks, since Xbox One began to be sold at $399, without a pack-in Kinect camera.
