Mass Effect: Born in Star Wars, probing Uranus

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

You'll learn a ton about Mass Effect, its development, its origins stretching back to BioWare's relationship with Star Wars, and even evolutionary truisms like where a predator species' eyeballs are located, in this latest breakdown of the RPG trilogy by Did You Know? Gaming.

That the Salarians are both inspired by alien abduction pop culture and Clint Eastwood makes my head a-splode. The video points out numerous other Easter eggs —such as the notorious probe of Uranus. It's good fun for newcomers and Mass Effect-o-philes alike, just be warned there could be spoilers within.
