PewDiePie, YouTube's biggest personality with some 30 million subscribers, will begin airing his "BroKen" podcast on MLG.tv tonight, under an agreement that puts the series on MLG.tv before it is seen anywhere else.
The first episode of "BroKen" under this new deal will air at 7 p.m. ET on PewDiePie's official channel on MLG.tv A statement from MLG.tv said replays will air immediately after the end of each broadcast.
The episodes will air with a chat feature letting viewers interact with host PewDiePie (real name: Felix Kjellberg) and costar CinnamonToastKen.
"We're excited to introduce PewDiePie to the MLG.tv network as we continue to deliver exclusive content from the best producers in the world," Ryan Wyatt, the vice president of programming for MLG.tv, said in a statement. "Our vision for MLG.tv is to make it the home for premium content and producers like PewDiePie and his show ‘BroKen.'"
PewDiePie already was an enormous financial success, reportedly earning $4 million per year just from his Let's Play videos on YouTube, according to The Wall Street Journal. The entertainment industry magazine Variety surveyed American teenagers and found PewDiePie was the third-most influential figure to them, beating out the actress Jennifer Lawrence and the pop singer Katy Perry.
