Is Telltale teasing the setting for its new 'Game of Thrones' series?

Telltale Games, the studio behind The Walking Dead adventure game series, has posted a new image that appears to offer details about its upcoming Game of Thrones game franchise.

The company's Twitter account features a non-spoiler quote taken from the latest Song of Ice and Fire novel, A Dance with Dragons, which mentions one specific family name.

"...Trackers and hunters sworn to Deepwood with clan names such as Forrester and Woods, Branch and Bole," the excerpt reads.

"Game of Thrones, a Telltale Games series #IronFromIce."

House Forrester refers to a minor clan that is mentioned in the fantasy novel series but has yet to make an appearance in HBO's TV series. In the George R.R. Martin canon, the Forrester family is sworn to House Glover of Deepwood Motte, an area in the North that has made an appearance in both the books and show.

Telltale first announced its plans last year to release a game in 2014 based on the HBO television show inspired by the George R.R. Martin series of fantasy novels.

"We'll be taking advantage of all the fiction to make something great," said Dan Connors, CEO of Telltale Games, during an interview following the premiere of the announcement trailer. "We're just really getting into it right now and thinking about characters — who has the most at stake, who has the biggest impact on the world."
