Kevin Durant may have won the NBA's Most Valuable Player award this year, but he doesn't play as himself in NBA 2K15, the game on whose cover he appears — that would be "kind of arrogant," he told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show yesterday.
"Who do you play as?" Fallon asks.
"Uh... anybody," says Durant.
"Just tell me. Who do you play as?"
Durant throws up his hands. "All right, LeBron."
For the record, Durant is rated a 95 overall in NBA 2K15 — one of only four current NBA players in the game above a 90. LeBron James, the cover athlete for NBA 2K14, was rated a 99 in that game.
NBA 2K15 is set for release Oct. 7 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. For more, check out today's preview of how developer Visual Concepts is looking to bounce back this year, along with a new trailer.
