Pokemon are colorful creatures, and one Reddit user has created a semi-scientific chart that details the color palettes of hundreds of the creatures.
Using a script written in the Processing language, user need12648430 created a chart of Pokemon, broken down by color. Each critter has a pie chart behind them, showing off the prevalence of each of their colors.
They noted in the post: "I even stripped out some of the less Pokemon-specific colors and there's still a really wide variance in every palette. There's also a consistent difference in hue between base colors, and their shadows/highlights."
Not long after the original post, need12648430 posted a "Shiny Edition," with palettes for Shiny Pokemon.
The source code for the script is available on Github, if you're interested in working your own Pokemon color-science.
