Sony's new Z3 line of Android-based smartphones and tablets will be able to play PlayStation 4 games through the system's Remote Play feature, Sony Mobile announced today.
Starting this November, the Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact — which will be released this fall — will join the PlayStation Vita as Remote Play devices. Those devices will be able to stream and play games from the PS4 as long as they're on the same Wi-Fi network. Sony says the feature is exclusive to Xperia brand devices.
An attachment called the GCM10 Game Control Mount is also coming that clips onto a DualShock 4 controller and holds an Xperia tablet or smartphone in place.
In a release, Sony notes that Xperia Z3 devices can act as a second screen to "remotely watch the game play of your game friends, communicate with PSN friends, purchase PS4 games and download to PS4 or simply to control your PS4" via the PlayStation App.
