The first Assassin’s Creed action-RPG just launched for iPhone and iPad

New, comments

Assassin's Creed Identity, a new, free mobile game for iPhone and iPad, is now available in Australia and New Zealand as part of a soft launch, Ubisoft announced today.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft's Blue Byte Studio and takes place in the Italian Renaissance. Players choose from different classes, customize an assassin and carry out missions. We've reached out to Ubisoft for more information and will update accordingly.

Assassin's Creed Identity is planned for a full launch next year. On YouTube, TouchGameplay posted a video featuring a look at the title, which you can watch below.

Assassin's Creed Identity is the latest title in a recent influx of Assassin's Creed games. Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, a standalone, downloadable title that will be available as part of the season pass for Assassin's Creed Unity. Unity, which is being developed for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, is expected to launch Nov. 11 — the same day as last-gen title Assassin's Creed Rogue. An officially licensed Assassin's Creed Monopoly game is also on the way.
