NetherRealm Studios' fighting game Mortal Kombat X will be released Apr. 14, 2015 in North America, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today. The game will see the return of the four-armed warrior Goro, who's being restricted to pre-orders as an exclusive character.
Goro was last playable in 2006's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. The fighter, who first appeared in the original Mortal Kombat as a non-playable character, joins returning combatants Raiden, Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Kano, as well as newcomers Cassie Cage, D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr and Kotal Khan.
Mortal Kombat X is coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. For more on the next-generation Mortal Kombat, read Polygon's E3 preview of the forthcoming fighting game.
