Nintendo to livestream Super Smash Bros. and other 3DS, Wii U games Sept. 12

Nintendo is taking to its Twitch channel on Sept. 12 for an eight-hour livestream including the final version of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, the company announced today on its Facebook page.

Prior to the Super Smash Bros. segment of the stream, Nintendo will offer details about some other upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles. It's not clear how much of the presentation Nintendo will spend on Super Smash Bros., and there's no word yet if Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will also be featured in the stream.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is set for release Oct. 3, while its Wii U counterpart is scheduled to be available by the end of the year. For more on both versions, check out our E3 preview.
