Xbox One is getting a new update to Snap this October

Xbox One owners will see improvements made to Snap, TV and video, as well as other features in its upcoming system update scheduled to go live this October.

A new post from Major Nelson today confirms that console users will be able to access Snap features including messages and Game DVR faster come next month. The update will make it easier to open and close new Snap apps while in-game as well, by double tapping on the Xbox button on the controller to bring up a menu to open up a new app in Snap mode, close an app, or switch between.

Likewise, changes TV and video will see the addition of a list of trending live TV based on your country and OneGuide settings, as well as the addition of Universal Remote Control in SmartGlass, and OneGuide live TV listings becoming available in 12 new countries.
