Electronic Arts today released new screenshots and announced some information about its public beta for cops-and-robbers shooting game Battlefield Hardline.
Although no date has yet been announced for the beta, it will be open to players on all platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Players will be able to take on the role of police and criminals as they battle through street wars.
Two different maps and modes will be available: Hotwire "combines all-out warfare with all-out speed" according to EA, while classic mode Conquest is described as "an oldie but goodie." There won't be a cap on the maximum progression level, and players will be free to try different classes and gadgets.
"To be frank, we want you to play this beta to death," offered an EA statement. "We need you to. This test is only going to make the game stronger, and help us take a look at ways we can ensure we deliver the most stable launch you deserve." Battlefield Hardline will be released on March 17.
The maps themselves haven't been revealed though these new screenshots, which show a concrete-and-glass downtown area and a deserted small town locale, should clue you into the general vibe.
