GTA 5 PC pre-orders come with $1M and a free game

Grand Theft Auto 5 Windows PC pre-orders from Rockstar's online store come with $1 million of in-game currency and, for a limited time, a free game.

According to a post on Rockstar Newswire, all boxed and digital pre-orders will include $1 million of in-game cash, split down the middle between GTA 5's story mode and its online component, Grand Theft Auto Online.

Those who pre-order the downloadable version at the Rockstar Warehouse before Feb. 1 will receive an additional $300,000 of in-game cash for GTA Online and a free download of one of the following games:

  • Gran Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto 3
  • Grand Theft Auto 4
  • L.A. Noire
  • Manhunt
  • Max Payne 2
  • Max Payne 3

GTA 5 on PC will also be available to purchase today from Amazon, Steam, GameStop "and other digital retailers," according to Rockstar's post.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was originally scheduled to launch on PC last fall alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions. Last September, Rockstar delayed the PC version to Jan. 27. Earlier this week, Rockstar announced the PC specs and delayed the game again to March 27.
