Magnetic: Cage Closed, a first-person puzzler from Swedish indie studio Guru Games, is coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One this March, publisher Gambitious Digital Entertainment announced today.
The game will be available for $14.95 alongside a PC-only special edition for $19.95, and PAX South attendees will be able to check it out at the show this weekend. Devolver Digital, located in booth 1243, will host Gambitious.
Magnetic strongly evokes Valve's Portal with its main mechanic: a gun that allows players to carry and fire objects to solve environmental puzzles. As you may have guessed from the name, Magnetic offers a magnet gun as opposed to a gravity gun. Players take the role of a prisoner attempting to escape from a complex known as Facility 7, where every room is a puzzle with multiple solutions. No two playthroughs will be identical, according to Guru Games, because of Magnetic's branching storyline and because Facility 7's chambers shift randomly.
