Xbox One gets first crack at Battlefield Hardline thanks to EA Access

Battlefield's official Twitter account sent out a friendly reminder over the weekend that Battlefield Hardline, due to launch mid-March, will be offered on EA Access. That means Xbox One owners will get a four-day head start on the game, thanks to the preview program EA Access offers.

Previews are limited to six hours of gameplay over the four-day span, though any saves or other files generated are usable when the full title launches. The preview is free (though EA Access itself costs $30 per year, or $5 per month.)

Battlefield Hardline's full release, on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One is scheduled for March 17. Originally planned for a fall launch, Visceral's cops-and-robbers take on the Battlefield franchise was pushed from Fall 2014 to this spring for polish and improvement.

EA last week announced Battlefield Hardline will be getting another open beta, though it didn't give specific dates.
