Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the concluding installment in the movie series based on Capcom's survival horror franchise, will begin filming this August, according to Facebook updates from series star Milla Jovovich this week.
In her first post, Jovovich discusses her current pregnancy and the steps she's taking to make sure she's ready for filming.
"I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.)," she wrote, "because I have to be ready to start filming 'Resident Evil- The Final Chapter' in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new "easy mama access" costume;)) so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to 'action hero' mode!"
Since 2002, Jovovich has portrayed the Resident Evil series protagonist Alice. Her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, serves as the series' director, producer and writer. Anderson discussed Resident Evil: The Final Chapter last June, when he was writing the script's first draft.
"It's going to be such an amazing experience," Jovovich wrote in a subsequent Facebook post, "especially for me because I'm going to have a tiny baby on set with me this time around!"
The PSOne game that started it all, Resident Evil, was just re-released with HD upgrades. For more on the new old game for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC, be sure to read Polygon's review.
