20th Century Fox's "contemporary re-imagining" of Marvel's Fantastic Four is now available in trailer form, and you can check it out above.
Fantastic Four is the story of four people whose physical forms are altered after being teleported to an alternate universe. The film is expected to hit theaters Aug. 7.
"Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy," the video's description reads.
There's little hint about the film's story in the trailer, though its narrator speaks briefly about mankind's need to build and invent, responsibility and sacrifice — all telltale signs of a classic superhero tale.
Fantastic Four will star Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbell. The film is just one of many Marvel properties coming in the next four years, though it won't be tied to those universes in quite the same way; the roster includes new Thor and Captain America movies, as well as Doctor Strange, an Inhumans movie and more.
