The next batch of Nintendo's amiibo figurines, the sextet of toys designed for Mario Party 10, are now available to pre-order from Amazon. And if you want the full batch without having to worry about missing out on, say, Toad perhaps, putting in a pre-order might be a good idea.
The Super Mario amiibo set includes Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser and Toad, with Mario available as part of a Mario Party 10 bundle for Wii U. The new amiibo work just like the already-released versions based on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, but some look a bit better since they aren't propped up with clear plastic.
Normally, we'd recommend against pre-ordering certain things, but given that many of the less popular amiibo characters have sold out and become hard to find, Nintendo fans might want to look into it.
Mario Party 10 and its associated amiibo toys are slated for a March 20 release in North America. The Toad amiibo is confirmed to work with last year's Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It will unlock hidden pixelated Toad characters throughout the game.
Nintendo will release another batch of Super Smash Bros.-themed amiibo, which include Robin, Lucina, Pac-Man, Wario, Ness and Charizard, this spring.
