Capcom revealed its next Dragon's Dogma game in the pages of Famitsu earlier this week, and today we get our first look at the free-to-play online action coming to PC and PlayStation in Dragon's Dogma Online.
The new trailer shows a group of players teaming up in a variety of character classes and taking down drakes, dragons, cyclops and other giant monsters. There's also a peek at the social towns where players can gather.
Dragon's Dogma Online will play much like other Dragon's Dogma games, but in an online environment. Players can group up in parties of four — including AI-controlled pawns — for roaming adventures and battles against giant enemies. Groups can be formed in town-based lobbies that can hold up to 100 players, and Capcom will provide a "quick-matching" feature to easily form groups. Dragon's Dogma Online will reportedly be supported by item-based microtransactions.
Dragon's Dogma Online is bound for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. The game is scheduled for a 2015 release in Japan.
