I am Bread is coming to iOS later this year

Surgeon Simulator developer Bossa Studios is bringing the loaf-centric game I am Bread to iOS devices, the company announced on its official Twitter account.

I am Bread is expect to launch this spring and will feature all content so far added to the Steam Early Access version, including the recently released garage area and a Cheese Hunt mode featuring Crispbread.

According to Bossa founder Henrique Olifiers, the studio will first focus on getting I am Bread out of Early Access this Spring before getting an entirely new team together to work on the iOS release.

I Am Bread is basically a glutenous cross between the roll-em-up tactics of Katamari Damacy and the challenging control scheme of Octodad. It it, players are tasked with having to get the bread to the toaster without damaging it too much. According to the studio, the game tells "the beautiful story of one slice of bread's epic and emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted."

I am Bread originated at a game jam held last year, during which Bossa tweeted a vine showing a piece of bread climbing up a wall.
