Illustrator is drawing a new Star Wars cartoon every day this year

We're all excited about the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the end of this year, but illustrator Gerard Folz is taking his passion one step further.

Folz says he plans to draw and release a cartoon-panel illustration based on the original Star Wars movie, every day this year. "In anticipation of #StarWarsEpisodeVII I'm going to turn one #StarWars scene a day into a comic panel," he tweeted.

Here are some of the first illustrations, which he has tweeted out in the past few days.
