Majora's Mask on 3DS offers limited edition bundle with Skull Kid figurine (Update)

When The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D launches this year, Nintendo will offer a limited edition that features a figurine of Skull Kid, one of the game's iconic characters, the publisher announced this morning.

The limited edition will retail for $49.99. Nintendo did not offer a picture of the figurine itself, just a shot of it behind the plastic window of the box. Update: GameStop has an image of it in its listing. It's below.

Nintendo also has not yet given a specific launch date for the game. Like 2011's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D will be an update of a Nintendo 64 classic, with 3D graphics and new features.

Skull Kid is the main antagonist in Majora's Mask, and is bent on destroying the land by pulling the moon from its orbit and slamming it into the landscape. He is portrayed as a trickster, but also a villain with enormous power, under the influence of the titular Majora's Mask.

The updated Majora's Mask 3D will be easier to understand for newcomers, series producer Eiji Aonuma said back in November. For more on the game, see this side-by-side comparison of it with the Nintendo 64 version.
