Mega Man, The Lion King and over 2,000 free games are now playable in your browser

More than 2,000 retro video games are now playable for free in your browser, thanks to the Internet Archive.

According to software curator Jason Scott, the Software Library uses an EM-DOSBOX in-browser emulator to run programs. However, browser-based emulation is still in beta and can occasionally run a little wonky.

There's a huge list of games to dig through, but the roster includes titles such as Ms Pac-Man, Metal Gear, The Lion King, Mega Man, Street Fighter 2, Wolfensetein 3D, Prince of Persia, Aladdin (the Sega version) and our personal favorite, The Oregon Trail.
