$18 gets you 143 of the best comics on the market right now

The Humble Bundle strikes back with the Humble Image Comics Bundle 2, a deal that's going on for the next 12 hours or so. If you've ever wanted to try a bunch of comics, or simply pick up a few new books, this 143-issue bundle offers kind of an insane amount of value.

If you pay at least $18 you'll get the first 48 issues of Walking Dead, which is likely the best-known comic in his bundle, but you'll also get the first 18 issues of Saga, which is one of the best comics on the market right now. Those 60 issues are already worth way more than the $18 you spent for them.

But wait, there's more! Five issues of The Wicked + The Divine, five issues of Sex Criminals (Time's comic of the year in 2013), and a bunch of other books I'm not as familiar with but can't wait to try. This is pretty much an orgy of value, and it's a great, inexpensive way to try a number of well-known books and sample a few series you may not be reading yet.

Even better is the fact the downloads are DRM-free and are offered in a variety of formats:

You can pay more than $18 of course, if you want to support charity or Image Comics, but be sure you pay at least $18 to get every single comic possible. The listed value of these books is $283, but more free books are coming to the bundle. My week's plans are pretty much set.
