Mafia 2 voice actor hints at more to come from the series

Details of a possible new entry in the Mafia franchise could be coming soon, according to a tweet by voice actor Rick Pasqualone, best known for his work as the voice behind Mafia 2 protagonist Vito Scaletta.

Pasqualone responded to a fan's tweet to "make Mafia 3" with the promise of something to come from the series. "Might have some Mafia news very soon!" he wrote, adding that "exciting news" would be made public in the near future.

Rumors of a new entry in the franchise have existed for some time, despite little information on the game's development status. It was believed at one point that a sequel to Mafia 2 was being made by Mafia developer 2K Czech; however, the studio experienced major restructuring in 2014, with the closure of its main Prague office.

Polygon has reached out to the company for further information and will update when more details are available.
