See the incredible Warcraft and Lord of the Rings models from Weta Workshop’s NYCC booth

Nobody tosses a dwarf!

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 15 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.

New Zealand-based Weta Workshop is renowned for its movie props, and the company brought a dizzying array of props and figures to its New York Comic Con 2015 booth. The collection is focused on the Lord of the Rings universe and Warcraft, the upcoming live-action film from Legendary Pictures based on the Blizzard Entertainment franchise of the same name.

Weta’s booth includes life-size suits of armor that were used in the production of Warcraft, along with smaller-scale replicas you can actually buy; finely detailed figures of dwarves, elves, humans, animals and more from The Hobbit film series; and models of scenes from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. If you can make your way to New York Comic Con this weekend, you’re going to want to spend some time in the booth.

Warcraft

Weta Workshop’s booth features plenty of Alliance soldiers and paraphernalia from the production of the film Warcraft, but the Horde are curiously absent. Perhaps they’ve already been vanquished.
