CitizenCon, the annual gathering for devotees of the crowdfunded spacefaring simulation Star Citizen, is kicking off today with a live video feed direct from England. An eagerly anticipated demonstration of the single-player campaign, a module dubbed Squadron 42, is expected as well as the unveiling of the actors involved.
Technical difficulties have pushed back the beginning of the stream to approximately 3:30 pm E.T., however that time keeps changing.
Polygon recently visited with Roberts Space Industries to discuss the challenges the team is facing, as well as to discuss the ongoing controversies surrounding the game's development. You can read more in our feature story here.
Update: We've embedded the full presentation, now on YouTube, above.
