Today is just Oct. 13, but Sony is not afraid to call Bloodborne a Game of the Year with two-and-a-half months of 2015 left to go. The brutal action title and PlayStation 4 exclusive will receive a Game of the Year edition on Nov. 25, as announced in a post on the European PlayStation blog.
The special package will include both the original game as well as its first expansion, The Old Hunters. Planned to be the only major content addition to the game, the pack was announced just last month and will arrive separately on Nov. 24 worldwide.
The Old Hunters, which was originally meant to be two separate DLC packs, will include new weapons and environments. We went hands-on with some of these during Tokyo Game Show 2015 in September.
While Polygon chooses to wait a bit longer to award its Game of the Year, we did enjoy the game enough to give it a 9 in our review following its launch in March.
Update: A representative for Sony Computer Entertainment America told us via email that it has "no plans for a physical Bloodborne collection at this time."
