Stephen Colbert's musical guest last night: The Legend of Zelda's symphony

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

Stephen Colbert's indulgence of video games and games culture apparently isn't a short-term thing as he gets his tenure on The Late Show started. Last night he invited The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses to perform as the show's musical guest. You can see (and hear) the orchestra in the video above.

The Symphony of the Goddesses is on the show promoting The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, which arrives Oct. 23 on Nintendo 3DS. The video above is a performance of the interlude arrangement from Tri Force Heroes, which is an all new suite of music.

Currently, the symphony is touring North America to perform the "Master Quest," the third installment of multimedia shows based on the music and lore of The Legend of Zelda franchise.
