Launch-day problems with Metal Gear Online have resulted in an apology from Konami and in-game compensation for players who missed out on the action thanks to broken connections, server instability and other errors.
All players have been given 3,000 GP, the in-game currency, and the duration of a double-XP promotion has been extended to three weeks from two.
The XP boost is activated by a promotional code. For players who have already activated it, they'll automatically get an additional week. The currency was awarded after yesterday's maintenance.
Metal Gear Online launched on Oct. 6. In addition to connectivity and stability issues, Metal Gear Online also had broken texture glitches that rendered a surreal landscape.
