While Fallout 4 isn't coming natively to PlayStation Vita, owners of Sony's handheld — and a PlayStation 4 — will get the next best thing: Remote Play. It looks like Bethesda is taking Vita Remote Play seriously by tweaking the game's controls to suit the handheld platform.
On Twitter, Bethesda promoted the Remote Play feature by showing Fallout 4 being streamed to a PS Vita and praising its controls. The company says they were created by designer Josh Hamrick, who did similar work on Destiny's Remote Play control scheme.

Bungie optimized Destiny to be playable on a PS Vita, which has fewer buttons than the standard DualShock 4 controller, by utilizing the system's touchscreen for certain inputs. We don't yet know how Fallout 4 will use the Vita's touchscreen (or rear touchpad), but we've asked Bethesda Softworks for details. We'll update if they provide that information.
Fallout 4 is coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on Nov. 10.
