Dying Light’s expansion ‘The Following’ nails down a release window (corrected)

Back in July, developer Techland announced a new expansion for its zombie-heavy survival horror game Dying Light. Dying Light: The Following is finally set to launch during first quarter 2016 — although the studio didn't get much more specific than that in the add-on's new, very brief trailer, above.

As demonstrated in a demo first shown at August's Gamescom 2015, the expansion will bring dune buggies and other new vehicles to the game. The studio also promises that The Following will be "feature-heavy" and "story-based."

Available for free to Dying Light's season pass holders, The Following will also be sold separately for $14.99. Whenever it does actually hit, it will be available on the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

You can see the dune buggies and more from the upcoming expansion in action below.

Correction: The Following will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. There will be no PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 version, as previously reported.
