Players who pick up Wii U horror game Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water later this week will have the option to enjoy the spooky adventure dressed up like some of Nintendo's most famous heroines. New costumes, based on Princess Zelda and Samus Aran from Metroid in her "Zero Suit" form, are coming to the North American and European release of the game.
Those costumes, which can be seen in the trailer above, replace the much racier unlockable outfits available in the Japanese version of the game. In the Japanese release, players could essentially strip down playable character Yuuri and Miu to wear next to nothing, an example of which can be seen below. The lingerie and bikini costumes won't appear in the North American version of the game.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will be released in North America on Oct. 22 via the Wii U eShop. The game comes to Europe on Oct. 30 under the name Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water.
