Guitar Hero Live doesn't just do more things differently from its predecessors than I expected, it sticks the landing on almost every new thing it tries. The new guitar feels superb, and learning to play from scratch is a really rewarding process. The live-action presentation is absolutely bonkers, but what it lacks in immersion it more than makes up for in raw entertainment value. The always-streaming Guitar Hero TV component is infinitely digestible, with some slick progression hooks planted throughout.
