To celebrate Back to the Future Day, star Christopher Lloyd has a special message for fans of the franchise.
In a new video released from Universal Pictures, Lloyd reprises his role as Doc Brown, and sitting in his iconic DeLorean, offers some comforting words for people who may be disappointed 2015 isn't exactly what the sequel from 1989 predicted it would be.
"The future has finally arrived! Yes, it is different than we all thought," Lloyd concedes, "but don't worry. It just means your future hasn't been written yet."
Lloyd, staring into the camera while one hand clutches the steering wheel, ends the video on a positive note.
"Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one."
To celebrate Back to the Future Day, theaters around the country are hosting marathon screenings of the entire trilogy, while companies like Pepsi are releasing limited-time products to mark the occasion.
Back to the Future Part 2 was originally released on Nov. 22, 1989.
